If the client has extended hyponychium, you may try paying extra attention to cleansing the free edge and under the nail well to remove any oils. Prime<details><summary>&#xA0;Can I use LUXA Prime to apply Transfer Foils?</summary>LUXA Prime can be used with Transfer Foils. It will not offer a full nail transfer but can be used to give the nail some Foil accents. (For full nail transfer we recommend using our <a href="https://www.luxapolish.com/products/transfer-foil-gel?_pos=1&amp;_sid=94ea837a7&amp;_ss=r" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Transfer Foil Gel</a>!) After curing your gel color layer, wipe with alcohol. Apply a coat of LUXA Prime over the gel color and let air dry. Then lay metallic foil over the areas where you would like the accents and quickly remove the foil. If you are unsatisfied with the result, you can easily wipe the transfer away with alcohol and redo until satisfied. After Foil transfer, always be sure to seal your finished design!</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;How long should I let Prime dry before moving on in the application process?</summary>You will notice after applying Luxa Prime that the nail will have a slight shine to it once dried, about 15-30 seconds after light application.</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;Does Prime work with acrylics?</summary> LUXA prime is an acid free primer that can be used with any system, including acrylics. If you suspect your gel is cold, a trick our techs like to use is to place the gel bottle under their thigh for a couple minutes while working on other steps in the application! - Ensure that gels are stored (and used!) away from direct sunlight or lamps to prevent curing, which can cause thickening of product in the bottle.</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;Why does Shine sometimes leave a blue tint over gel color?</summary>When using LUXA Shine, you may notice a slight bluish tint to the nail in certain lighting. This is caused by UV inhibitors in the top coat! Using the lid of your bottle, slowly stir for a full 60 seconds in order to mix all the pigment thoroughly.</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;How many services can I expect to get out of a bottle of gel polish?</summary>The amount of services that can be performed using a bottle of LUXA gel varies greatly depending on the length of the nails and amount of product applied. Brushes<details><summary>&#xA0;How can I fix bent or frayed bristles?</summary> Luckily, this is usually an easy fix! Run the brush bristles under very hot water, ensuring the hot water hits the bent area. After about 15 seconds, you can mold the bristles straight again. As you use the brush, it will also help reshape it!&#xA0; If the fraying is severe enough that hot water alone does not solve the issue, the bristles can be reshaped using the following method:&#xA0; &#x2022; Run clear gel (such LUXA Shine or Gloss top coats) over the bristles in the direction they should lay&#xA0; &#x2022; Wipe any excess&#xA0; &#x2022; Store the brushes capped and out of sunlight, in a cool, dark place such as a drawer.&#xA0; Lastly, we never recommend using acetone on the brushes, as these can dry out the brush heads and cause them to fray further.</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;Can I use acetone on Luxa Brushes?</summary>We never recommend using acetone on the brushes, as this can dry out the brush heads and cause them to fray.</details> <details><summary>&#xA0;Are LUXA brushes synthetic or natural?</summary> The bristles for all of or brushes are made of nylon.</details> Files and Buffers<details><summary>&#xA0;Can I reuse Files and Buffers between customers?&#xA0;</summary> Luxapolish files and buffers are single use only.
